Hutovo blato is a swampy area only 1-4 m above sea level. It consists of Svitava and Deransko blato that divides the lime giant Ostrvo (123-312 m above sea level). It is a settlement, especially in winter, for ducks, geese and so on where more than 250 swamp bird kinds stay during winter. Visited by bird hunters, fishermen and tourists who like to enjoy in the beauty of untouched nature.
